RESERVATION SYSTEM 2024
The photography services of Pohtiolampi have been updated to reflect the situation in 2024. This means small changes to the practices of previous years. The practical matters of the photography services are the responsibility of Jouko Alhainen (Taigabird Oy). You can contact him at the number +358 (0)40 528 3030. Even if the reservation calendar is full, we will try to find photography opportunities for those interested.
The reservation system works so that you choose the service and site you want from the reservation calendar below as follows:
1. Choose the service Sääksikuvaus (“Osprey photography”), Kosteikkolintujen kuvaus (“Wetland birds photography”) or Majoituspalvelu (“Accommodation”) and then the more specific site.
2. The calendar view of the site selected opens.
The dates marked in red have already been reserved and the dates in green are still available. The numbers indicate how many people the site can fit.
3. Make a reservation for an available date by clicking on the number.
5. A reservation card opens. Fill it out carefully.
The sections marked with an asterisk are required information. All photographers are classified as hobbyists.
6. Reservation conditions
Before submitting the reservation, you must accept the reservation conditions provided in the reservation card. The date you have chosen will turn red in the calendar and you will be sent a confirmation message by email. As your reserved date approaches, you will be sent more detailed photography instructions by email (pohtiolampi@gmail.com).
7. Cancelling a reservation
Follow these instructions to cancel your reservation. The confirmation message sent to you contains a link at the end. Through that, you can cancel your reservation. The date on the calendar will turn back to green and become available to others. Cancellations cannot be made by phone. You must cancel your reservation no later than one week before the reserved date. If the cancellation is made later, you must pay half of the starting price of the reservation. If you do not use the reservation at all, you must pay the price in full.
8. Paying the reservation fee
Photography and accommodation fees are paid to the bank account of the Finnish Osprey Foundation (Sääksisäätiö) FI 285680 2720 030412 with a reference corresponding to the site: Bird Hides, High Tower, Public Osprey Tower, Wetland Tower, Accommodation. The fee must be paid after the event, either online or at the Osprey Centre office during its opening hours (11.00–18.00 from 30 March to 6 June at the weekends, after that daily until 15 September).
