Objectives of the operations

The Finnish Osprey Foundation is a non-profit association focused on the conservation of Finnish birds of prey. Its purpose is to make the osprey, eagles, hawks and owls more known and to promote the birds of prey conservation, monitoring and research. The Foundation raises funds and supports and organises voluntary activities.

The Foundation fulfils its purpose by obtaining funds for the conservation and research of Finnish birds of prey and by using these funds to support:

  • follow-up research of birds of prey
  • other research and conservation of birds of prey
  • informing the public about the habits of birds of prey and why they should be protected
  • cooperation between different agents for the benefit of birds of prey
  • voluntary work and training for birds of prey enthusiasts
