April 15th 2011The Osprey Foundation has installed a new webcam to broadcast Live Video Stream and record the images of Osprey dives at the osprey fish pool. For more information, see the Webcam subpage.
Winning photo of Windland Smith Rice International 2010 taken at Pohtiolampi
March 2nd 2011The annual Windland Smith Rice International is one of the most highly-respected nature photography competitions in the North America and in the world. The Grand Prize Winner of the Competition in 2010 is Peter Cairns of Kingussie, Scotland, UK. His winning photo "Osprey Landing with Catch" was taken at Pohtiolampi Osprey Center, Kangasala, Finland !

Peter Cairns has worked as a full-time freelance photographer since 2000. His images have received awards in a number of international competitions including the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the GDT European Photographer of the Year.
